So here we have some of the progress for my cubism piece. At first I was going to blend two different images of my guitar with one over the other but it proved to be too problematic even while adjusting the top layers opacity.
Also I realized that having the guitar picks laying about and on the wings of the guitar limited my ability to resize/distort them.
So here I took key parts of the guitar and adjusted them using mostly the Transform tool in Photoshop (partial Free Transform usage as well). And then going further…
It’s slightly hard to tell with the white sheet background but I went and took more chunks out of the background to resize/distort etc.
Here I adjusted the colors and hue’s of the base image.
Here I tried to give it the same color pallet as an early cubist painting. Next is to add textures
Also decided to throw in the Jack Bottle on the bottom, Jack himself may have had a hand in that decision…Now finally I have two versions to pursue. One in this “painting” color and shades and one without any of it adjusted.
I honestly like the one with no color better. It is starting to look more like an early 20th century Cubism Painting.
